Meet our Founder
I’m Amanda, a hairdresser with more than 36 years of experience.
Throughout my career, I’ve spent every working day looking closely at people’s hair - and the skin underneath it. I’ve seen dryness, itching, flaking, excess oil, tightness and sensitivity, yet I’ve also seen how little attention most people give their scalp until it becomes uncomfortable.
We moisturise our faces, care for our bodies and condition our hair, but the scalp is often completely overlooked. Most of us repeatedly cleanse it without thinking about replacing hydration afterwards.

Why I created Scalp Zero
Scalp Zero began behind the salon chair through years of conversations with real clients.
Whenever someone experienced a scalp concern, their first response was usually to change their shampoo. Choosing the right cleanser matters, but cleansing and moisturising perform different jobs. I felt there was something missing from the everyday haircare routine: a simple, lightweight way to care for the scalp between washes.
I wanted to create what I could not easily find—a moisturiser made specifically for the scalp.
It needed to be water-based, fragrance-free and non-greasy. It had to absorb easily without coating the hair, flattening the roots or making freshly washed hair feel dirty.
Straightforward scalp care
Scalp Zero is a leave-in serum created to replenish hydration and help the scalp feel calmer, more comfortable and cared for.
The formula includes ingredients such as niacinamide, panthenol, betaine, glycerin, sodium hyaluronate and oat-derived ingredients, selected for their hydrating and conditioning properties.
It can be applied directly to the scalp after washing or between wash days. Simply massage it into the skin and leave it to absorb - no rinsing and no complicated routine.

Created through experience
As a hairdresser, I understand that people want products that have a clear purpose and fit easily into real life.
I also believe in being honest about what cosmetic products can and cannot do. Scalp Zero is not a medicine, an anti-dandruff treatment or a miracle hair-growth product. It will not treat medical conditions or replace professional medical advice.
It is focused skincare for the scalp.
Its purpose is to hydrate and care for the skin beneath the hair, whether it already feels dry or uncomfortable or you simply want to start looking after it before it demands attention.
Creating Scalp Zero has been a much bigger journey than I first imagined. As an independent founder, I have been involved in every decision - from the formulation and testing to the packaging and language.
After 36 years of working with clients, I would never put my name behind a product that I did not genuinely believe had a place in their routine.
I created Scalp Zero because the scalp is living skin, it has its own needs, and it has been overlooked for far too long.
You shouldn’t have to wait until your scalp itches or flakes before you begin caring for it.

That never made sense to me.

I wanted to create what I could not easily find—a moisturiser made specifically for the scalp.

That idea became Scalp Zero Daily Scalp Serum.

Even an oily scalp can benefit from hydration because oil and water are not the same thing. Producing excess sebum does not necessarily mean the scalp skin has enough moisture. That is why I was determined that Scalp Zero should provide lightweight hydration without adding oil or making the hair feel greasy.
